Rangers defeat SUSLA-Shreveport 92-75 to wrap up fall schedule

KILGORE, TX: The Kilgore College Rangers, led by Willie Williams on offense, finished their 2023 campaign before the Christmas break with a two-game winning streak.

Williams led the Rangers in points (23), rebounds (20) and assists (9) against the Southern University-Shreveport Jaguars.

KC had two other players with double-doubles -- starters Jamil Muttilib with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and KC Udolisa with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Three-point specialist Thomas Hattaway came off the bench to score 12 points with four 3-pointers. He also added four rebounds, one assist and a block.

KC, under first-year head coach Robert Byrd, sits at 10-3 (1-2) heading into the Christmas break.

They will return to action Jan. 6 at home to resume conference play versus Victoria College.
