The Rangers hung on in the second half to defeat the Bossier Parish Cavaliers, 71-66, in Kilgore College's final home game of the year. KC led the Cavaliers by as many as 16 points early on in the contest, but Bossier Parish cut that lead to six by halftime.
The Cavaliers, in the second half, tied the game up six times and took the lead twice, but KC was just too strong down the stretch for Bossier (13-15, 5-13) to preserve the Ranger win.
Joe Manning led the KC scoring attack with 17 points. Tyree Davis had 13 points, Isaac Hoberecht scored 10 and DaVeon Thomas scored 9 points. Manning earned a double-double by adding 11 rebounds.
KC (18-10, 10-8) travels Wednesday, March 1, to play Paris Junior College at 7 p.m. in the last regular season game before the regional tournament begins at Tyler Junior College's Wagstaff Gym on March 7.
